If the number of people who attended the Taste of Norcross High is any measure of its success, then this year's annual event was a barnburner. Over 2,200 people attended the event, now in its ninth year. Community supporters from Peachtree Corners and Norcross packed the high school's lunch room and gymnasium Friday night. Some 30 restaurants from both cities participated providing free tastings of their signature dishes and surrounding businesses donated goods and services for the silent auction. Hundreds of volunteers have been gearing up for months preparing for the 9th Annual Taste of Norcross High, the event is Friday, Nov. 2 at the high school. The fun begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. Local restaurants, (this year there will be 30 from Peachtree Corners and Norcross) and local businesses are lending their support for the annual fund-raising event that benefits the school athletics and activities departments. "The restaurants donate the food so Norcross High School will benefit," said Florence Luranc, co-chair of the event.
