Share your best recipes for the day after.

Dinner’s done and the only thing more stuffed than the bird is you. Now the question becomes: What to do with all those leftovers? While many say simple reheating is all that’s necessary to have a “day after” feast, others have elaborate recipes for turning Thanksgiving leftovers into gourmet delights. From savory turkey soups to sinfully delicious pot pies and mile-high sandwiches, everyone has their own ideas on what to do with what’s leftover. The Food Network even has an entire recipe collection dedicated to the topic. But we'd prefer to hear from you! What are your favorite Thanksgiving leftover recipes? Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving

Wishing you a delightful day with family and friends.

I really love Thanksgiving. It's a wonderful holiday to gather with friends and family to feast on a big meal, watch football and enjoy each other's company. But it's also a good time to reflect on just what an abundant life we as Americans have - we have much for which to be thankful. I found a poem which I thought really captured the essense of Thanksgiving Day. Written by an old newspaper man, Edgar Albert Guest, (1881-1959) he was a humorist, journalist, poet, and author. His words made me smile - I hope it has the same effect on you. Happy Thanksgiving.   Thanksgiving Gettin’ together to smile an’ rejoice, An’ eatin’ an’ laughin’ with folks of your choice; An’ kissin’ the girls an’ declarin’ that they Are growin’ more beautiful day …

Is Black Thursday the New Black Friday?

More large retail chains are opting to open Thanksgiving Day to get a jump on the holiday shopping. What do you think of this trend?

After stuffing ourselves with turkey and all the trimmings on Thanksgiving, the following day has traditionally been the day that begins the annual holiday shopping rush. I remember years ago, there wouldn't be a Christmas tree or decoration in sight at the malls until the day after Thanksgiving. Then on Friday the shopping season began as the malls were transformed overnight to a winter wonderland for shoppers. Ah, but times they have changed. In recent years, retailers have begun to encroach on the holiday by opening on Thanksgiving Day. Slowly some national chains have found a way to get a jump on the traditional shopping day. This year mega retail giant Wal-Mart announced it will begin offering "Black Friday" specials at 8 p.m. on …
