Across the country, Monday morning comes and many teachers are forced to compete against hunger for their student's attention.  How can a child focus on learning to read when he or she is trying to ignore hunger pangs?   In 2011-12, Gwinnett County Schools reported that just over 90 percent of children attending Meadowcreek, Nesbit, Norcross and Stripling Elementary Schools, qualified for free or reduced price meals - getting the fuel that they need to get them through the week.  But what happens to these children when they go home over the weekend?
