What Can be Done to Unite the Country?

United we stand, divided we fall. After a divisive presidential election, the country now must heal and move forward. But how?

After billions of dollars and almost two years of constant campaigning, there's very little difference in Washington. The Presidency, the House and the Senate remain as they have been since 2010. Despite all the rhetoric, no one party was given any overwhelming mandate by the voters. They are still each blaming the other side for the gridlock and the gridlock remains.  So where do we go from here? How do we come together?  What do you think our elected officials need to do to unite the country? What do we as individuals need to do to learn tolerance of each others views?

Some Georgia Residents Want To Secede From U.S.

Online petitions in Alabama, New York, Michigan, Texas also filed and are seeking secession. Georgia petition has collected over 20,000 signatures.

Call it election-day fall out, but there is a movement afoot for Georgia and several other states to succeed from the union. Residents of Georgia have submitted a petition requesting that it be allowed to Peacefully grant the State of Georgia to Withdraw from the United States of America and create a NEW government. Other states have also filed to succeed from the union including residents of Alabama, New York, Michigan, Texas filing petitions under the "We The People" program, featured on the White House website. The Georgia petition, reads in part: "...Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right …

Good choice. Lacking trust in someone else to protect you is nothing more than folly. I'm not here to split hairs. Democrats or republican. They are all corrupt. The ones that aren't corrupt seem to be corrupted a short time after entering office. Some argue that our government isn't taking our rights away. I beg to differ. Stick around school for a week.
