News Nearby: Third Suspect in Lawrenceville Bank Robbery in Custody

Marcus Rashed Rutledge was wanted in connection to an armed robbery at a Wells Fargo in Lawrenceville, Ga. in December.

 According to the Gwinnett County Sheriff's website, the third suspect in an armed robbery at a Lawrenceville bank in December is now in their custody. Marcus Rashed Rutledge was booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center at 5:15pm Tuesday.  Gwinnett County Police believe Rutledge was one of the gunmen who held up the Wells Fargo on Lawrenceville Highway on December 28th. Police arrested Jamar Terrell of Lawrenceville shortly after the robbery. Terrell is believed to be the other gunman and the owner of the getaway car. Last week, Thomas Birdsong turned himself in to police after seeing media coverage of the robbery. GCPD said Birdsong acted as a lookout and was supposed to be the original getaway driver. Nearby Wells Fargo Bank Held Up By Gun-Wielding Robbers

Gwinnett Police say three men robbed a Wells Fargo bank in Lawrenceville. One suspect has been arrested, police are still looking for two others.

One suspect in an armed robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in Lawrenceville last month is now in police custody. However, Gwinnett County Police are still looking for two potential accomplices in the crime. On Friday, December 28th, two black males wearing masks walked into the Wells Fargo bank at 3065 Lawrenceville Highway just before 9:30am. This branch is located in the parking lot of the Walmart Neighborhood Market. The two men inside the bank have been identified by GCPD as 26 year old Jamar Terrell of 2769 Herrington Woods Road, Lawrenceville and 24 year old Marcus “Bankhead” Rutledge. Wells Fargo Offers Reward for Information on Robbery

Two men robbed a Wells Fargo bank on Killian Hill Road Sept. 16, and the bank is offering as much as $5,000 for information leading to the suspects' arrest.

Gwinnett County police are looking for two suspects in a Sept. 16 robbery at Wells Fargo on Killian Hill in unincorporated Lilburn, and the bank is offering as much as $5,000 for information leading to the suspects' arrest. One suspect is about 6'1 to 6'2" tall and has a medium build. He was clean-shaven and in his early 20s. The other is about 5'2", thin, clean-shaven and also in his early 20s. both men are black, Corporal Jake Smith said in an emailed release. The men entered the bank three times on the day of the robbery, changing clothes each time before re-entering the bank. The third time, they handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller gave the men a bag with money and a dye pack, which exploded after they left the …

A Fourth Wells Fargo Bank Held Up at Gunpoint

Today marks the fourth time a Wells Fargo Bank in Gwinnett has been robbed. A Peachtree Corners branch was held up June 23.

Gwinnett County police said a lone gunman robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in unincorporated Lilburn Friday morning bank. The robbery happened about 10:30 a.m., at the Wells Fargo located at 1028 Killian Hill Road, according to police. No one was injured. Armed with a handgun, police said the suspect jumped the teller counter and took a unknown amount of money at gunpoint. He then fled the area in an awaiting vehicle, which police describe as a burgundy 2000 – 2005 Chevrolet Impala. The vehicle had Tennessee tags and body damage to the right rear fender.  Wells Fargo has offered a $5,000 reward in this case. It is latest in recent months of local Wells Fargo robberies.
