Evening of Fun, Food and Laughter at WPC Gathering

Atlanta Bread Company's owners Ron and Marianne hosted the bi-monthly Women of Peachtree Corners get-together Wednesday evening.

When you get a group of women and pair them with wine and good food, there's bound to be interesting conversations peppered with plenty of laughter and Wednesday's gathering of the Women of Peachtree Corners was filled with both. The bi-monthly gathering of the newly formed group drew 45 women to enjoy a few hours of networking and socializing. Ron and Marianne Murray, owners of the Atlanta Bread Co. at The Forum were the hosts and WPC members Lorri Christopher and Amretta Regmi organized the event. The evening included an opportunity to taste four different wines - and to test our knowledge of wine terms. Are you familiar with such terms as "tannin, "punt" "legs" and "cork taint"? Peachtree ES Principal the Key Speaker at Women's Meeting

Dr. Beverly Smith provided an update on the school at the Peachtree Corners Women's Round Table group at a luncheon held at La Nonna's.

It's always fun when a group of women get together - and the February meeting of the Peachtree Corners Women's Round Table was no exception. There was plenty of good conversation - and good food at the February gathering held at La Nonna's Italian Restaurant in Peachtree Corners. Dr. Beverly Smith, Peachtree Elementary School principal, was the speaker at the luncheon. Dr. Smith who began her teaching career at the elementary school, left to teach at several other Gwinnett schools before returning as its principal four years ago. "I was excited about coming back," said Smith who recalled her early years teaching at Peachtree Elementary. "I remember when there was nothing out here," she said. Thank you Gay. The idea for the Women of Peachtree Corners hatched when 12 of us from Peachtree Corners attended the United Way Women's Legacy event in August. Lorri Christopher sponsored a table. As we were walking out to our cars, several of us said that we need to rally our local women.
