Affectionate tortoiseshell feline is ready for adoption.
Sweet Jasmine, a young tortoiseshell cat, was rescued from an Animal Control facility last summer. As the shelter worker was cleaning her cage, she cried for his attention and jumped into his arms. At that point, our visiting volunteer knew we had to save her! Jasmine stayed with our cat program coordinator for the next 3 months until she found an adoptive home. Sadly, we recently received an email asking us to take her back because of some litter box issues. We quickly found out that Jasmine had developed a urinary tract infection, which had caused her to urinate outside the box. (Cat owners should always take their cat to a vet when there is a sudden change in litter box habits!) At any rate, that issue was quickly resolved once she …

Affectionate 5-year-old female feline is ready for adoption.
In fairness to this kitty, we gave her the name "Beach Ball" before we put her on kitty weight watchers! Don't get us wrong - she's still a good sized girl, but not nearly as rotund as before! Beach Ball was headed for a shelter because her owner could no longer keep her when we intervened. She is about 5 years old, and is a truly mellow cat. We have found that she is a little reserved with new people, but once she gets to know her special human, she is very affectionate and very loyal. Her foster mom has found her to be an easy cat to have around. She likes to hang out with you, but is also OK when you are away from the house. Angels Among Us Pet Rescue is looking for a home for an extremely personable and sweet guy that was abandoned at an apartment complex last year. We knew right away that Frankie had an indomitable spirit in surviving for so long even through a horrible winter storm week. Frankie is now about one and a half years old and lives in a foster home along with two other cats (a male and a female). Frankie very much likes attention, and immediately runs up to you when you come into the room. He is playful, but also content just to hang out with you. Sweet blue-eyed cat lost her home when her family lost theirs to foreclosure.
Coco Puff is a beautiful and sweet Siamese-Tabby mix with blue eyes and chocolate, light brown, cream, and white markings. (Her photos really don't do her justice!) We believe she is between 3 and 4 years old. She and her buddy (since adopted) found themselves homeless when their owner lost her home to a foreclosure. Coco Puff is initially very timid when she meets you, and is scared of new people and new situations. Sadly, this issue has prevented her from finding her forever home. However, once she gets to know and trust you, she is like a different cat. Then she wants to be your best friend, runs up to you when you enter the room, and likes to be held and stroked. Beautiful emerald green-eyed cat "Emmie" looking for loving home.
Lovely Emmie couldn't believe it when her family packed up and moved away...and left her behind. This beauitful green-eyed Russian Blue Mix (who is about 4 years old) lived outside before one of Angels' volunteers realized that she had been abandoned, and asked us to take her into our adoption program. Those of us who have met Emmie are baffled at how anyone could have treated this super nice cat so cruelly. We have already discovered how lovable and affectionate she is. This is a cat who is used to being a household pet and behaves accordingly. She loves being with people, likes to simply "hang out" with our volunteers, and has all the makings of a lap cat. Sweet Emmie is currently in a foster home where she lives with two big calm dogs. …

Spayed and neutered, all are now ready for placement into their forever homes.
Angles Among Us Pet Rescue is looking for homes for a great selection of Spring season kittens. Most of these kittens have been rescued by the organization from high-kill county animal shelters or from other dangerous situations. Because we use skilled veterinarians who practice pediatric spay/neutering, even those as young as 8 weeks old are now ready for placement into their forever homes. The available kittens include those of a wide range of colors, hair length and personality. Ranging from high energy and super playful to extra sweet and mellow, we have kittens to fit all types of homes and lifestyles. Lovely cat's family moved...and left her behind.
Lovely Emmie couldn't believe it when her family packed up and moved away...leaving her behind to fend by herself. You are so right Karissa! That poor little cat, I hope she finds someone soon who will love and take care of her. She sounds like she would make someone a lovely companion. I have three rescue cats of my own and wouldn't trade them for anything. more ›
