Before you head out the door this week, we've got the road construction report from the Gwinnett Department of Transporation for the week ending Nov. 30. The list includes 31 roads; a reminder for Peachtree Corners drivers, North Berkeley Lake Road remains closed due to construction on the Berkeley Lake dam. Alcovy Road from Campbell Road to West Drowning Creek Road will require intermittent lane closure through February 2013 for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm. · Creek Hollow Way will close on October 1 through November for drainage improvements. Georgia Department of Transportation announced today that road work will continue this weekend to upgrade the I-85 express lanes between S.R. 120 and Boggs Road and has advised motorists to expect traffic delays. Following is GDOT's report: This weekend, motorists should prepare for possible traffic disruptions and delays due to southbound and northbound I-85 Express Lane closures. The closures, which will begin on I-85 near Duluth Highway/SR 120, will accommodate construction for a permanent southbound Express Lane access point near the Boggs Road overpass. The permanent access point will replace the temporary entry point installed in January 2012 to provide earlier Express Lane access between Old Peachtree and Indian Trail Roads. Planned…

A reminder for Peachtree Corners commuters, North Berkeley Lake Road is on the list. The road closed March 19 to all thru traffic and will remain closed until February 2013 while the dam is repaired.
