Chick-fil-A Touting Healthier Kid's Menu Items
The Atlanta-based food company already had a good reputation there, but it is seeking improvement.
Chick-fil-A, which has outlets in Peachtree Corners, is rolling out a healthier kid's menu, according to the company website. The fast-food restaurant is introducing grilled nuggets as an entree option and will offer Buddy Fruits Pure Blended Fruit to Go applesauce to go with the chain’s other healthier side alternatives, according to a statement by the company Monday. For parents concerned about gluten, the new grilled nuggets entree, applesauce and fruit cup are gluten free, according to the company. Obesity and chain fast food restaurant nutrition are nationwide problems for children and adults. Kudos to our homegrown chain for being a leader in dealing with these problems. Let's hope others follow Chik-Fil-A's example.   more ›
