Catch the Blue Devils Semi-Final Football Game Live on TV

Semifinal high school football games for Norcross, Buford, GAC are on the schedule.

  Gwinnett high school playoff football is live tonight online and on TV. All three Georgia High School Association semifinal games involving county teams will be live-streamed on GHSA-TV via the PlayOn! Sports video portal. Colquitt County at Norcross (Class AAAAAA), Buford at Cartersville (AAA) and Greater Atlanta Christian at Jefferson (AA) all kick off at 7:30 p.m. Additionally, the Colquitt-Norcross game will be carried live by Georgia Public Broadcasting (Channel 8). Norcross, Buford, GAC All Reach Football Semifinals

Three of Gwinnett County's six teams in the state quarterfinals Friday won to advance in the GHSA playoffs.

  Friday was a great night for high school football fans in Norcross. Buford boosters are pretty happy, too. Norcross High, Greater Atlanta Christian School and Buford High all won their Georgia High School Association quarterfinal games Friday night and will advance to next week's semifinals. Undefeated Norcross (13-0) won at Camden County 34-20, knocking off one of the state's perennial large-school powers. The Blue Devils took a 19-14 halftime lead, then pulled away to reach their first semifinal in school history. Norcross will host Colquitt County next week. Greater Atlanta Christian beat visiting Early County 27-24 in a Class AA quarterfinal game played in Norcross. The Spartans (10-3) will be at Jefferson next week. In Class AAA, …

Feast On High School Football Playoff Games Friday

Norcross High School's Blue Devils among the line up. Here's a look at a tasty second-round playoff games for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

On Thanksgiving Day, millions of Americans will plop down in front of the TV to watch football (there are three Turkey Day NFL games). On Friday, our favorite sons from nine Gwinnett County schools will add to the football smorgasboard with their own seasonings in the second round of the playoffs. Here's a look at the spread (Games scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.): THE MAIN COURSE North Gwinnett at Grayson Savor the aroma of this game between two state-ranked teams playing in what has to be considered the best matchup in Class AAAAAA this week. Grayson, the defending large-school state champion, is ranked No. 3 by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution; North Gwinnett is No. 4. Both teams are 10-1, and have won eight straight games. This game …
