Was Showing of 'Seal Team Six' Two Days Before Election Political?

People have criticized the showing of "Seal Team Six," the movie about the killing of Osama bin Laden, saying it is an attempt to help the president in his reelection bid. What do you think?

  "Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama bin Laden," a made for TV movie about the killing of Osama bin Laden, was shown Sunday night on the National Georgraphic Channel. Some have said it was an attempt to aid President Barack Obama in his reelection bid. According to a story in Reuters, however, a TV executive rejected the claims. Although ackowledging that the proximity of the election was not lost on them, David Lyle, chief executive of National Georgraphic Channel, told Reuters that it was shown because it was thought to be of interest to viewers. Timing of Bin Laden Movie Release: Is it an Election Ploy?

Film dramatizing the killing of the al-Qaeda leader is scheduled to release two days before the presidential elections. Is it a partisan attempt to re-elect President Barack Obama?

According to The Associated Press, a film dramatizing the killing of Osama bin Laden will debut on the National Geographic Channel just two days before the presidential election. “Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama bin Laden” will air on Nov. 4. But there have been questions raised about whether the timing of this is specifically to aid the president in his re-election bid since it was produced by a big fundraiser for the president’s campaign. The killing of Osama Bin Laden has been touted by President Barack Obama’s supporters as one of the major successes of his presidency. Bin Laden Killed by U.S. Forces

The news of the death of al-Qaeda's leader brings back strong memories of that day when some 3,000 people died.

Today the photos of the burning World Trade Center's Twin Towers still bring chills down my spine even though nearly 10 years have passed. I recall vividly standing in front of the TV watching in horror and disbelief as the first airplane flew into one of the twin towers, than another plane struck the second tower. Then the news that the Pentagon had been hit by a third plane. It wasn't until later that we would learn another attack was thwarted by some brave Americans who chose to storm the cockpit of a fourth passenger plane that had been hijacked by a band of al-Qaeda terrorists and forced it to crash in a Pennsylvania field rather than allow it to fly to its target which we would learn later was the White House or the Capitol Building…
