Should Guns Be Allowed on College Campuses?
Georgia Senate Bill 101, which didn't make it out of the last legislative session, is expected to be re-introduced next year.
Georgia Senator Frank Ginn (R-Danielsville) introduced Senate Bill 101 in the 2013 legislative session, which would have allowed guns on the Georgia Tech and University of Georgia campus, as well as other college campuses in the state. The bill was stalled in the final moments of the 2013 session. But it will likely return during the next session, according to Ginn. At a recent meeting of the Athens Clarke County Commission, Ginn took some flack on the bill. Some in attendance suggested he concentrate his efforts on more pressing issues than guns.
