More Focus on Chick-fil-A
Political sides in the same-sex marriage controversy have issued "calls to action" at the restaurant chain's outlets for Aug 1 and Aug. 3.
This could be an interesting week for Chick-fil-A, the Atlanta-based restaurant chain that recently has become a political battleground. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has called for Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day on Wednesday, Aug. 1, and has set up a Facebook page to draw attention. And the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation is backing a call for a National Same-Sex Kiss Day on Friday, Aug. 3, to be held at Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide. The controversy, of course, comes from a statement by Chick-fil-A executive Dan Cathy, who supports the view of marriage as between a man and a woman. Love New York myself. Trust me, there are more moderates than you think who lean conservative. That is who put Obama in the White House. Too bad Dems don't understand the fact that the population of liberals and minorities cannot alone elect a President.
