About David
Although retired as a partner in an Atlanta law firm, David could not completely leave his professional life behind, continuing to represent former and select clients, and assisting other attorneys, with litigation and transactions, including in complex cases. David has been a civil practice attorney for over 30 years, has been an advisory member of the Law Revision Committee, and member of the Legislation Committee, of the Georgia Bar, a local Bar association president, a member of the Law-related Education Consortium of the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia, a faculty member of the Georgia Institute of Continuing Legal Education, a service provider for Parent to Parent of Georgia, an Advocate for Special Needs Children, a member of the Pro Bono Projects of local Bar Associations, a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia County Welfare Association, a youth sports coach, a Jaycee president, a Jaycee of the Year, and was elected to Who's Who In American Law. He graduated from Richmond Academy in Augusta, GA, and obtained his two undergraduate degrees, and law degree, from the University of Georgia, magna cum laude with departmental and general honors, where he was an Honors Scholar, in Omicron Delta Kappa, and Director/Chief Advocate of Defender-Advocate Society. He has been Married 36+ years to Gayle, a retired program specialist for children at the State of Georgia, and has two children - David, in management at UPS, and Alexandra, a student at the University of Georgia. A longtime Peachtree Corners resident, his interests include history, government, historic structures restoration, trains, environmental issues, military modeling, writing, science, land use, and various charities.

David: Read your comments about the candidate's signs and noticed you mention 16 candidates. The Gwinnett Co. elections office sent me a list of 20 candidates running for one of the 6 council seats.

Thanks, Judy. I appreciate your giving the candidates a chance for an introduction to the voters. Mr. Cobb's response was a surprise. We'll see if he's serious enough in continuing his candidacy to respond. If not, at least we have an apparently qualified candidate who has the time in Mr. Stickney.

Excellent point David. It certainly did not give a good impression. Everyone else had the "time" to provide the information.I wonder if he will reconsider and send in the missing information.
