Actually, Marc, I've done quite a bit of critical thinking, and for me, my Christian worldview is sustainable and makes the best sense of all of the facts in evidence. That's not to say that I don't have my days where I actively question things, but the deeper I dig, the fuller my faith becomes.
But when I teach, I don't teach dogamatically; I teach critically. I believe that if you're going to own a worldview, you should understand it forwards and backwards, warts and all (both theistic and non-theistic worldviews).

My heart breaks for you and your son. Several of the students I've talked to share that sense of un-reality, that Paul will somehow be at school if they hope hard enough. His life has changed, and it will not be the same again. Time will make some things more bearable, but as you said, his childhood has effectively ended. And like Paul's, it was far too soon.

I hate it when I mistake a young woman's nose ring for a dangling booger and almost say something to her.
I am also fed up with the arbitrary way my computer's mouse pad will just spaz out when I'm trying to make a careful edit in a document.
And, lastly, Smurfs. Ugh.
