Bio With over 15 years as an experienced journalist, Judy joined Patch in November 2010 after spending several years as editor and writer for a nationally distributed relocation magazine covering business, real estate, school and community news.

Her background includes 10 years as an editor and writer for several local golf publications where she covered both professional and amateur events throughout the state and as a freelancer for the AJC while attending college.

She graduated Georgia State University with a degree in journalism and a minor in American Literature. Judy has lived in the Atlanta metro area for over 25 years and currently resides in Duluth with her husband and two sons. When she's not reporting, you can find her out chasing a little white ball around the area golf courses.

At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license for you to inject your beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that your beliefs are on the record will cause you to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. And if you ever see evidence that we failed in this mission, please let us know.

Thanks for the info Bob. I forgot about our nearby Sandy Springs neighbors. That's good to know. I did check Johns Creek, Sunday sales do not start until Dec. 4 in that city.

Judy, the Publix shopping center where Dagwood's and The Derby are located at Spalding and Holcombe Bridge is actually inside the city of Sandy Springs and is located in Fulton county.

Lindsay: Your blogs sound more like advertising then helpful information for people looking for a home based business. Blogs are supposed to be conversational. If you want to continue to blog, please word in a way that doesn't sound like an ad in disguise. Also, the event you posted almost appears to be an ad. Please review the terms of service. If you are not advertising or promoting the event but rather just putting it out there for general information, I would suggest you reword to sound more informal. The calendar - and blogs - are for non-commercial use only. It sounds to me like you are a recruiter, if so a well-placed ad would probably do you a lot more good. People don't like to be deceived by being drawn into a blog that's nothing more than an ad in disguise.

Thanks for the info Bob. I'd forgotten about it. There is also the RiverPines GC that has a course, driving range, etc. I just thought it was interesting that there's no such facility in P'tree Corners.
