Harlem Globetrotters Purchased by Peachtree Corners Company
Herschend Family Entertainment Corp., located on Triangle Parkway, owns and operates 26 theme parks, aquariums and other attractions.
Herschend Family Entertainment Corp. (HFE), an amusement park owner and operator located in Peachtree Corners, announced this week that it has acquired Harlem Globetrotters International Inc. from Shamrock Capital Advisors according to a Bloomberg report.
HFE, a family-owned business, owns and operates 26 theme parks, aquariums and other attractions nationwide. The company is an operating partner of Stone Mountain Park, Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO and Dolly Parton for Dollywood's Splash Country in Tennessee.
The Harlem Globtrotters, a basketball team known for its showmanship on the court, has played in 122 countries and performs 400 live events a year.
HFE is located at 5445 Triangle Parkway in Peachtree Corners.
