Property Owner Has 30 Days to Clean Up Parcel

The City of Peachtree Corners has notified the property owner where Dreamland BBQ once stood that the chimney, construction fencing and debris must be removed from the site.

Now that Dreamland BBQ operators and the property owner have decided to part ways, what's to become of the site where only a red brick chimney and construction fencing remain?

"We've notified the owner that the property needs to be cleaned up," said Diana Wheeler, Peachtree Corners community development director. Wheeler said the owner, Moe Majidi, has been given 30 days to comply.

Wheeler said the city sent Majidi a letter specifying that the construction debris, the red brick chimney be removed along with the construction fencing that now surrounds the out parcel.

When Patch contacted the property owner on Monday, July 15, he said he was not aware of any letter. "I have not received any notice," said Majidi who added that he would contact City Hall for more information.

"It's in his interest to clean it up," said Wheeler who pointed out that the property owner would undoubtedly want to market it to another potential tenant.

If the property is not cleaned up in a timely fashion then the city would issue a code violation said Wheeler.
