Inspectors Give These Restaurants A's
Health inspectors give five Peachtree Corners near top grades. Find out if your favorite eatery is on the list.
Following is a list of five Peachtree Corners restaurants which have been inspected recently by the Gwinnett County's Board of Health.
The Board inspects area restaurants every six months which are then graded based on an extensive criteria that includes everything from food being stored at proper temperatures to employee hygiene.
Restaurants are required to display these reports in a prominent place for diners to view. This is what we found in a random search of inspections on the county's website.

Inspection Date: Aug. 1, 2013
Grade: 97-A
Comments: Sliced tomatoes cooling since 12:15 PM temped 47F at 3:40 PM in the walk-in and display coolers. Potentially hazardous foods must be properly cooled by effective methods (shallow pans, ice water bath, adding ice as an ingredient, etc.)The employee decided to transfer to the freezer for rapid cooling or discarded. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.

Grade: 93-A
Comments: Hand sink located in front food prep area did not have paper. Paper towel must be provided at all hand sinks so that employees can wash their hands. Paper towel was placed at hand sink during inspection. Several buckets of frosting were stored directly on the floor. Food needs to be stored at least 6 inches off the floor at all times. Bucket of frosting were not moved off the floor during inspection

Comments: Bowls and colanders stored on shelf as clean with food debris present. Food contact surfaces must be clean to sight and touch. The owner decided to clean the equipment. Dead roaches were observed near hot water heater. Pests must be removed from the facility. The owner decided to remove the pests.

Comments: Ice machine had mold like substance around the chute. Machine cleaned while on site. Ice bins should be cleaned at a frequency necessary to preclude accumulation of soil or mold Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
