Prime Wings Upgraded from 66-U, Three Dollar Cafe's Previous 72-C Improves

Three more Peachtree restaurants inspection grades range from 91-A to 95-A. Find out if your favorite eatery is on the list.

Following is a list of five Peachtree Corners restaurants which have been inspected recently by the Gwinnett County's Board of Health.

The Board inspects area restaurants every six months which are then graded based on an extensive criteria that includes everything from food being stored at proper temperatures to employee hygiene.

Restaurants are required to display these reports in a prominent place for diners to view. This is what we found in a random search of inspections on the county's website.

Name: Prime Wings (*follow-up inspection)
Location:  3230 Medlock Bridge Road
Inspection Date: Nov. 20, 2013
Grade: 98-A
Comments: The cabinets under fryers and spaces between fryers still have an accumulation of a grease and soil. Nonfood contact surfaces need to be kept free of accumulations of grease and soil. Please clean these area thoroughly and more frequently to prevent this accumulation. An additional inspection will be conducted in 45-60 days as a result of failing previous inspection.

Inspection Date: Nov. 12, 2013
Grade: 91-A
Comments:  Cold-held potentially hazardous foods not maintained below 41oF; no time controls/documentation in place. See temperatures marked '*'. Food placed in cooler for cooling. Cold-held potentially hazardous foods must maintain a temperature of 41F or below. Inspector to return again within 30-60 days for an additional inspection.

Location: 3975 Holcomb Bridge Road
Inspection Date: Nov. 20, 2013
Grade: 91-A
Comments:  Observed employee using hand sink fill pot with water to use in food prep. Hand sink are for hand washing only, and should not be used for any other purpose. Employee was informed of this and stopped filling pot. Sliced lemons located at soda station in front customer area were not adequately protected from contamination. The container in use requires customer to lift lid up exposing sliced lemons to contamination. Lemons were moved during inspection.

Location: 3400 Holcomb Bridge Road
Inspection Date: Nov. 20, 2013
Grade: 94-A
Comments: Lemons displayed for customer self-service without adequate sneeze and cough protection. Lemons removed from customer self-service area. Food on display must be be protected from sneezes and coughs by adequate packaging or adequate shielding. Tongs for lemons at self-service area stored in standing water between uses. Tongs must be stored in an adequate manner as per the regulations between uses. On next inspection, if lemons are not adequately protected from coughs and sneezes at customer self-service area, a citation may be issued.

Grade: 95-A
Comments:  Employee phone stored on shelf with tortilla shells and single service container. Employee personal items shall be kept separate from food, food prep surfaces, equipment, utensils, and single service items. Employee phone moved and surface was cleaned and sanitized.
