Where is My Absentee Ballot?

With 12 days to go until the April 3rd runoffs people are wondering where their absentee ballots are.

As most of you know, we have runoff elections coming up for four city council races (posts 3, 4, 5 and 6) on April 3rd.  That date just happens to be during spring break for the Gwinnett County school system and as a result many people will be out of town traveling.

Several people have contacted me recently telling me they had faxed their ballot applications in well over a week ago but had still not received their ballot.  I made a call to the Elections Office this afternoon and learned that the physical ballots just arrived at the Elections Office which is why no one has received a ballot yet.

The Elections Office said all the ballot applications they have received so far have been processed and the ballots will be going out very soon.  So, be on the lookout for your ballot. They should be arriving in the next few days.
