Do you have a cow outfit in your closet? Or an you come up with one by Friday?
Those who come to any Chick-fil-A restaurant dressed "head to hoof" in a cow outfit Friday, July 13, will receive a free meal for Cow Appreciation Day.
Cow dressers will be able to choose any entree, drink and side item of their choice, whether it's during breakfast, lunch or dinner.
"Friday the 13th is typically a day spent avoiding black cats and ladders, but for at least one restaurant chain and its customers, Friday the 13th will show spots of good luck," according to a statement from the restaurant chain.
Don't have a cow costume, but have another garment with at least a few spots? Chick-fil-A is promising a free entree of choice for those wearers, too.
Chick-fil-A's Cow Appreciation Day has grown since it debuted eight years ago. Last year, nearly 600,000 people participated in the event, with costumes ranging from simple cow-spotted T-shirts to complete cow suits with furry ears, cow bells and homemade sandwich boards, according to a press release.
The restaurant also has a photo contest where customers can submit a photo in one of three categories: Best Calf/Calves, Best Cow and Best Herd. Prizes include Chick-fil-A beach towels, gift cards and catered parties.
Customers can upload photos for the contest from July 13 through July 31 via its Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ChickfilA.
Make sure to mosey on over to the location on Peachtree Parkway Friday. For more information, visit cowappreciationday.com.
