Gwinnett Chamber Launches New Membership Drive

The campaign, with a goal to sign up 100 new members, begins Aug. 8.

An all volunteer-led Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce Membership and Sponsorship Campaign has an ambitious goal of 100 new members and $1.075 million.

The eighth campaign, which has a horse racing theme, gets off to a running start at the chamber at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, and will continue through January 2014. The theme is “And They’re Off: The Run for $1.075 Million.”

Volunteers who generate $11,500 will be eligible to win the reward trip to The Westin Resort & Spa in Los Cabos, Mexico.

The drive will be led by campaign Co-Chairs Carla Carraway of Precision Planning Inc. and Sid Theus of American Painting & Renovations Inc. Also providing leadership are five vice chairs, 40-plus corporate teams, 150-plus team members, the Gwinnett Chamber Board of Directors and chamber staff.

Volunteers are responsible for selling memberships, sponsorships and securing budget trades.
