Man Found Dead in Technology Park

Gwinnett Police are investigating death of man discovered Monday morning behind a Peachtree Corners office building.

Gwinnett County Police are looking into the death of a man whose body was found in the early hours Monday behind a Technology Park office building.

Police discovered the man after receiving a call of a suspicious person sleeping or possibly dead behind the office at 25 Technology Parkway South.

Corporal Edwin Ritter, spokesman for the Gwinnettt County Police Department, said that "when officers arrived on the scene they discovered a male deceased with several head injuries from an unknown origin."

There was no identification on the body police said. He's described as a "large framed white male approximately 5'10" to 6'02" and weighs approximately 200 pounds."

Ritter said the man "has two tattoos, one of which is very unique in a unique location on the body." Police are not releasing the description of the tattoos in hopes that "anyone who may be familiar with the man will come forward to help identify the body."

The cause of death will be determined by an autopsy said Ritter.

I mean no disrespect, but it took me about 5 minutes to realize that the sign for the office park was not a tomb stone. The "Your Name Here" on the top line if the monument really threw me off!

I agree with you Jake - it does indeed look a bit like a tombstone. And the "Your Name Here" notice at the top is a bit ironic. Imagine if you were to visit a cemetery and see something like that - what a way to scare off visitors!

Have they found anything out about this man or any follow up information? This is very close to home.

Lisa, I've written two follow-up stories on the case which posted Wed. and Thurs. But basically, in a nutshell. Police have not yet identified the body nor do they have a cause of death. An autopsy was performed and they are waiting for the results of a toxicology test. I will continue updating the story when I have more information to pass along.
