Man Arrested for Indecent Exposure Lives in Peachtree Corners

The 20-year-old man involved in the incident on Bush Road last week lives with his mother who runs a home-based daycare service.

On Friday, Nov. 8, Gwinnett Police responded to a call reporting of a man who was exposing himself near a construction site along Bush Road in Peachtree Corners.

After a scuffle with police, Robert Anthony Morris, a 20-year-old black male, was arrested for possession of marijuana, public indecency, obstruction and failure to comply with an officer's demands.

The initial report did not list the man's name or address, but Patch learned from a nearby resident, that Morris lives in the Scotts Mill subdivision with his mother Robin L. Morris, who runs a child daycare out of a home she rents on Scotts Mill Run.

However, after checking with Peachtree Corners City Hall and Gwinnett County, there is no record of a business license on file to operate a child daycare center out of this home.

Brandon Branham, who oversees the business licensing for the city said someone from code enforcement would be out to check on the unlicensed business within the next few days.

According to the Gwinnett Sheriff's website, Morris was released on Nov. 16 after posting $7,900 in bail.

Update: Nov. 22, 2013

Brandon Branham with the City of Peachtree Corners confirmed that Code Enforcement visited Ms. Morris last week and has given her until Monday, Nov. 25, to obtain a city-issued occupational license which is required of anyone operating a business inside city limits.

Branham confirmed that the Peachtree Corners resident has a state license to operate a daycare service from her home but not the additional city license. He said the incident involving her son, Robert, does not affect her ability to operate a daycare service because he is not a minor and is not directly involved in the business.
