Who Are You Going to Call at City Hall?

This past Sunday city leaders, staff and its citizens celebrated the official opening of Peachtree Corners City Hall with an Open House.

But now the ribbons have been cut, the ballons are gone and it's down to the business of running the city.

Do you know who to call if you need a building permit or a business license, need someone from code enforcement to look into an illegal sign or a run-down property?

No need to look past the borders of the city for help. Here's a rundown of who's who at City Hall and how they can help.

You may have already met the Peachtree Corners City Hall Staff:

Julian Jackson, City Manager
Diana Wheeler, Community Development Director
Kym Chereck, City Clerk

Here's a rundown of who can help you with building permits, business licenses and more:

Chris Keown is the building official and is responsible for overseeing building inspections and issuing permits. Keown comes from the City of Alpharetta.

Ruby Biggers is the building permits technician and works with Keown. She will also be the voice at the other end of the line when you call City Hall. Biggers comes from the City of Doraville, her first day on the job is Jan. 17.

(Keown and Biggers are contract employees through Charles Abbott Associates, a Dunwoody-based company.)

And assisting the City staff with planning and zoning, land development, business licenses and code enforcement are three CH2MHill contract employees. CH2MHill, established in 1946, is a worldwide company which provides experienced staff for cities around the country.

Brandon Branham is the business license coordinator

Walter Osorio is the code enforcement officer

Lynn Pierson is the Zoning Administrator who will assist the Community Development Director with planning reviews.
