Gwinnett Braves Keep Win Streak Alive

Louisville falls; Teheran named to All-Stars Future team.

The Gwinnett Braves won their fifth straight game Wednesday, defeating the Louisville Bats 3-1 in Louisville, KY. The G-Braves remain a half-game behind Durham in the International League South.

Ed Lucas was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Jose Constanza was 2-for-2 for Gwinnett. Cory Gearrin was the winning pitcher in relief for Gwinnett. Louisville pitcher Dontrelle Willis, a former major leaguer, allowed six hits and one run in six innings.

The teams play again Thursday night in Louisville.

Also, the G-Braves announced that pitcher Julio Teheran (8-1, 1.79 ERA) has been named to the All-Star Futures Game to be played in Arizona on July 10 in conjunction with Major League Baseball All-Star Weekend festivities.
