Young Whippet-Sharpie Mix Ready for Adoption

Eight-month-old female would make an ideal companion dog. She's available through Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.

Looking for just the right active, loving, four-legged companion to be your partner at home and on the trail? Then look no further - we have just the one for you!

Meet Bunny, an 8-month old Whippet/Sharpei mix who is a medium-sized at 30 pounds, and a wonderful companion dog  She is spayed, microchipped, house and crate trained (no issues with crating), and is up-to-date on all her shots and vetting.

This precious girl was part of a litter of pups born to a feral momma dog in North Georgia.  Her siblings and mom, unfortunately, didn't make it and Bunny was almost a casualty, as well, but her strong will to live and survive helped her beat all the odds.

At some point before she was rescued and brought into Angels Among Us Pet Rescue group, Bunny sustained an injury to her left eye while she and her litter were out in the wild.  Although she requires eye drops to help her vision in that eye, she doesn't allow it to slow her down or keep her from playing, running and enjoying life.

Bunny LOVES to take walks and go on hikes, but she's also a real "snuggle pup" with her humans!  She adores kids and all other animals - heck, there's not much this sweet, bouncy, loving girl doesn't like - toys, humans, dogs, cats, the outdoor. She's perfect.

With her medium size and super short hair, she's a breeze to take care of, physically. Due to Bunny's background and losing her family at such an early age, it does take her a bit of adjustment time with humans, and she needs just a bit of time to learn they can be trusted just as much as her wonderful foster family.

She's also looking for a forever family who will take time to just be with her and do anything and everything together.  You see, this baby girl has a deep need to be close, emotionally and physically with a family she can give her heart and complete trust to.

We know she missed out on having a mom to raise her and without having her siblings to grow up with, it has left some emotional scars on this precious young soul.  But if you love her, do things with her, show her you're there for her for the long haul, she will give you her heart and soul completely and will love you forever!

This girl is destined to be a true companion dog! The ideal home for sweet Bunny would be a stable, loving home environment - with or without kids.  She would love to have another four-legged companion or two to play, run, explore and play friendly games with at home or on the trail.

She does love to explore, chase squirrels when she can, and even loves to swim!!  She will need a fenced-in, secure, gated backyard so she can play and always be safe.
