Homicide Suspect Arrested, Awaiting Extradition to Gwinnett County

Norman Lee Griffin is accused of killing a Peachtree Corners man in an apparent drug deal gone bad.

A man has been arrested in connection with the homicide of a Peachtree Corners man on June 13.

Norman Lee Griffin was tracked down in Pensacola, Fla., and arrested on June 21. He is accused of killing Ulice Perrell Leatherberry in an alleged drug deal gone bad.

In a press release, Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies developed information that tracked Griffin to a location in Florida.

The information was then forwarded to the U.S. Marshals Service, which arrested Griffin on Friday morning "without incident," officials added.

Griffin is currently being held without bond at the Baldwin County Jail and is awaiting extradition to Gwinnett County.
