Victoria Secret Shoplifter Caught, Arrested

In three previous incidents, the thieves got away - but this time, one shoplifter wasn't so lucky.

The Victoria Secret store at The Forum has been hit by shoplifters in the past and the thieves managed to get out of the door and escape without getting caught.

But on a recent Saturday afternoon, one 18-year-old shoplifter wasn't so lucky.

A Victoria Secret sales clerk saw Shelby Grace Daniel of Alpharetta, Ga. walking into the fitting room with five items including a sleep shirt and robe to try on. When she walked out a short time later, she told the sales clerk nothing fit and she had left all of the items inside the fitting room.

But when the sales clerk went to retrieve them, the items were not in the room.

The sales clerk and store manager watched the woman leave the store with the merchandise - that's when the store manager called the shopping center security.

She was found with the merchandise and was brought back into the store. Then the store manager called the police. When Gwinnett Police arrived, the officer asked her what happened and she admitted to taking the items without paying for them.

The stolen merchandise, which totaled over $300 in value, was returned to the store - and the shoplifter was arrested and taken to the county jail.
